Bethany Coon, Intern
Bethany Coon, is a Master of Social Work (MSW) student at Western New Mexico University, completing her field work locally, at Brighter Health Counseling. Through working in different community settings, Bethany has come to believe in the inherent value of each human life, and is inspired by a passion to help individuals both recognize and embrace their unique dignity and worth.
Amidst life’s challenges, it’s common to experience anxiety, depression, fears, guilt and shame. By helping clients to both accept the difficult situations of life and to process their various emotional responses, Bethany will empower clients to make peace with their life, achieve their goals, and experience greater levels of happiness and connectedness.
Equipped with a degree in nutrition from Michigan State University, Bethany can help clients understand the relationship between their nutritional and mental health. This is one way that Bethany strives to help clients achieve a holistic health. As a person of faith, she is open to incorporating spirituality into sessions with clients for whom this is relevant. Above all, Bethany wants to partner with clients to understand how the many aspects of life can work together to overcome challenges and help build a brighter future, full of hope.
